Soil Health’s Importance in Local Agriculture and Native Species Restoration Workshop!

Come join us for our workshop focusing on the role of soil health in both native plant restoration and local agriculture here in Hawai’i! 

During this workshop, we will learn about how healthy soils are essential to native plant restoration as well as explore how healthy soils play a role in local agriculture and what you can do to assist these efforts here on the island. This workshop features guest speakers from organizations including Aloha ‘Āina ‘O Kamilo Nui, Livable Hawai’i Kai Hui, UH College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources, O’ahu Resource Conservation and Development Council, and Natural Resources Conservation Service. As part of our workshop, guests are invited to an optional field visit to a sweet potato farm and a plant nursery after hearing from our guest speakers. Please come dressed accordingly for a field visit (sunglasses, water, etc.).
