Waimānalo Stream Restoration Update

Volunteers came out to the Yogarden farm on an early November weekend to help clear invasive vegetation, as the first phase of a stream restoration project in the Waimānalo Watershed. The farm will continue this work to remove invasive species and make room for native and canoe species plantings to stabilize the stream bank. These efforts work to conserve soil and water resources by reducing erosion and increasing infiltration of runoff. We look forward to more restoration progress like this in the Waimānalo Watershed – step by step! Mahalo to Yogarden for their stewardship and for hosting us with a smile!
