Area Plan

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]In accordance with the by-laws of O’ahu RC&D, one of the primary duties of the Board of Directors is to develop and approve an Area Plan every five years. The purpose of the Area Plan is to set priorities, identify needs and opportunites, and establish objectives to reach each goal.

The O’ahu RC&D Area Plan is developed using participatory processes, with input from board members, staff, partner organizations, landowners and other stakeholders. The process provides O’ahu RC&D an opportunity to assess the ever-changing conditions in which we work, set new objectives in response to these changing conditions and renew commitment to current objectives.

The Area Plan outlines specific goals, objectives and strategies for four key elements: Watershed Conservation, Community and Agricultural Development, Land Management, and Land Conservation.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]Annual Plan. Each year, O’ahu RC&D completes an Annual Plan of Work. Goals and Objectives for the year are based on items found in the Area Plan, and provide guidance for project implementation and day to day activities.
