Through partnering with the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), O’ahu RC&D hosted three soil health workshops throughout 2016. In addition to featuring soil health, these workshops include various topics including reforestation, organic farming, local agriculture & native species restoration and cover crops. Using guest speakers from various organizations including NRCS, O’ahu RC&D, CTAHR, West Oahu SWCD, and more, workshop participants learned about how to create and sustain healthy soil through various techniques specific to Hawaii.
