Oahu RC&D presents Water Management Strategies: Irrigation Management

and Vetiver Workshop at Mulkern Nursery in Waimanalo on March 7, 2014

from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

This workshop will focus on best management practices (BMPs) that have

the potential of improving the Waimanalo Watershed. Various speakers will speak

on installing microirrigation, irrigation management, the conservation benefits of

vetiver and how to successfully establish vetiver. Also, the workshop will include

information on different types of financial assistance available to landowners to

implement BMPs.

A $6.00 registration fee is required for the event. You must register for the event at

RSVP by March 3, 2014. Only 25 seats are available for the event. No walk-in

registrations at the workshop.
